A hanging lantern display celebrating the extraordinary range of Asian American and Pacific Islander communities — students decorate lanterns with their own words while cultural spotlight cards illuminate the surrounding wall.
What's inside
Many Voices, One Horizon uses the lantern as its visual anchor — a symbol across many Asian and Pacific cultures of light, celebration, and guidance. Students receive a lantern template to decorate on the outside and inscribe with one word or value on the inside flap. Hung at varying heights from strings across the door frame, the finished display has genuine visual depth. Surrounding cultural spotlight cards cover eight regions (East Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia, Pacific Islander communities, and more), resisting the common error of treating AAPI as a monolithic identity.
